Cwmmorthin Slate  Quarry.

Cwmorthin is a  Victorian slate mine above  the village of Tanygrisau, near Blaenau Ffestiniog. There are many paths in and around the village. The café at the Tanygrisiau    reservoir is a popular place to start your walk. There is more information about the area at the Friends of Cwmorthin  Slate Quarry website which you can see using the link. As always, go prepared when venturing out onto the hills and mountains.

Rucksack, waterproofs, dry warm clothing, gloves,woolly hat ,food and snacks ,water and warm a drink…….a good pair of walking boots.
